Bronze 911

Considering a color change while I have the engine out of the 911.

I am currently at a deep metallic maroon. I am considering either a deep bronze or copper metallic. Any suggestions? Any pictures? I have attached a photo of my current car/color.

I am also considering a variety of rich dark red metallics. Throwing around some GM colors as well as this very nice looking Cranberryish metallic color I saw on a Nissan SUV.

Copper looks great when it's clean. When it's dirty it looks like plain old brown.

If you're car is in it's factory color, I'd leave it. It looks great, especially w/ the chrome window trim.

My car was originally brown. The color thats on it now is of unknown shade and origin. I am looking at a Cadillac pearl red that is a little bit darker yet shines a bit brighter in the sunlight.

Its a 76. Pictures can be misleading, on the right rear quarter the painter forgot some things. You know, basic stuff, like sanding. :P

I'll throw my color out there for you as well, Sahara Diamante from the '76 and '77 model years. It can look more copper, more burgandy or more brown depending on the ambient light.

What the color code for Sahara Diamante. I think that's what I have. Looks like copper but takes on a reddish tint in some light. Either you love or hate it. I love it..

The paint code is 436. I love it to, the fact that it is different is what sold me. I have not seen another in person and I think some in NC on the board has an early 80's car that was a special order paint, I sent him a sample and he said it was nearly a perfect match.

Here's a close-up of the rear quarter from the shot above.....

Here is a copper metallic SC.

It's true they look much better when they are clean.

Mine is an 84 in Kiln red. I love the color...it's got a nice copper hue to it, but still has red as well.
