anyone know this interior color tan?

I emailed rennbay but, apparently my description was off on the color for the seat upolstery kit and the samples were way off. Let me know what color you think this is... hopefully they will send more samples!............

Keep in mind that the color that your viewers see is dependent on how they have their settings on their monitors. In other words, what I see may be a slightly different hue than the next guy. That said, it looks like tan to me.

Looks like the same interior color as my black 82 911SC.

Go to http://www.gahh.com/smp-v20-c05-a.htm it's got some sample leather colors for porsches.

From your pictures I'd guess a champagne, but there are at least four colors shown that look close. Like someone else said, don't trust the pictures get samples.

Regards,

Mac

That looks like "Camel" to me too. But it is hard to tell.

I have "Cashmere" (I think). Looking at the pictures of the link above, I am not sure anymore. My "Cashmere" has more yellow in it and is about two shades darker than "Camel" and one shade darker than "Champagne". I made the mistake once with some carpeting...

Let me know if you want pictures.

Good luck.

I have the same color on my 83 SC. I think it's champagne II. Also I have black and dark blue trim on the interior which makes for quite a combo. Does anyone know where you can look up original interior codes? I wanted to check if it was the original interior.

Hmm, are those interior pieces leather or vinyl?

I'd say vinyl for the doors.

Looks like all the pieces pictured are vinyl. If true that could explain the color variation from the leather counterpart.

Isn't there a interior color code somewhere ?

Actually it's leather and in pretty good shape except the front seats. I plan on using dye on the dark brown to make it black and recovering the front seats because of wear on the drivers side. End up with just black and tan and no more dark brown(tobacco?) color!

The original colors from the PET are Beige and Brown.

Are you sure it's leather in your car? I would assume that you have a partial leather interior.

Is there a seam on the top of your dash? The full leather interior in my car and others I've seen has a smaller grain and usually the leather seating surfaces develop creases over time that the vinyl does not. The dash top and door caps, the brown part have no grain on leather cars.

The front seats that are not shown have the creases you are talking about that would indicate leather and the dark brown (on the dash, door caps and rear deck) is not leather. So I guess it's partial?
The flash and the low grade digital cam took the nice worn in parchment look AWAY from the door panels which is why I took pics of the rear seats to see if that turned out better. The pics dont represent the texture very well. The lighting doesnt help much with the color either but, I wanted to get closer than the samples I requested from my poor description.
Thanks,

Just for comparison, here are two pics of my Cashmere with brown vinyl tops.

Yuck, dirty seats...

Good luck.

I guess lighting makes a big difference. Your seats look darker than mine but, the brown vinyl top looks so dark it appears black instead of brown in the pics.... Anyone figure out where the color code would be?

a source of interior codes by model year would be very helpful...i'll voice my accord in wanting to know if one exists. my '74 has the 'tan' interior...i have no idea what it is actually called if i want to order replacements seat covers...and i would LOVE to beable to do this with complete confidence that i'd be getting what i have.

A good way to spot full leather interior after they quit putting it on the dash is Nick's car above. Notice the stitching on the door pulls and pocket tops = full leather.

That's interesting that you say "full leather" as I know my dash, door tops and rear deck (basically everything that is dark brown) is vinyl.

Hence, I don't think mine is the Full Leather option. Is it?

BTW: The side door got a good dose of the flash from my digital camera. But I think we all can see clearly, how my "Cashmere" is mush more yellow than your "Tan" and your tan tends to look more like the "Camel" previously described.

I hopy you get the swatches soon and let us know your conclusion.

I also got Leatherique's (www.leatherique.com) color for the Porsches for a Cashmere interior. I also sent them a little sample from an inconspicuous place. After the Leatherique dye my passenger seat and other usually-not-touched areas look more yellow than my driver's seat (pictured). IThis seat is really dirty.

I should have taken a pic of the passenger seat.

Good luck.

Why are your adjustment controls on the inside of the seats? Weird!
