How straight is your car??
I don't really know why But I checked the measurements of my car out this morning. It is ball park done with a tape versus sensors but seems off a little more than I would like. Every thing fits fine except the front driver side fender. I have been thinking of taking it to a frame guy but really wanted to know how crazy I should get. I may be to much of a perfectionist but It is a porsche. I know at one time it was hit but how hard ?? It does not look to bad but there is a wide gap on that fender. Anybody ever deal with this or measured or for that matter had one straightened ?? What should I expect and how long should I chase perfection for? Any thoughts????

well don't forget that the smallest amount on each component is doubled where they meet....ie. if your fender flange was over pulled an eighth and your hood is off a sixteenth that gives you three sixteenths difference and that's a big gap where they meet .As long as the structural chassis is close then the hanging sheetmetal can easily be fine tuned and can even compensate for minor structural differences without any ill effects.......it's a question of how perfect you need it to be and how much you want to spend to get there....??...
I'm so anal that when I walk towards my car I eye both sides from end to end (every single time!!) and if I see even the slightest door ding it has to get fixed the same week.....I've even been known to write down the plate # of a car that I have to park next to and think might damage my car....... I also drive all my friends and neighbors nuts noticing dings and scratches on their cars before they do and pointing them out....that's what happens when you're in the business so long ,you either get anal or blind to it......

I could move the fender around to maybe fir properly but I know that area was the crushed area so I am not sure if it were ever straightened out properly. It looks like the work performed was OK not top notch but definatly not back yard. I think I am going to drive it over to a frame shop and get a quote. It would be nice if it fit properly

I find the feft and right rear fenders are different. The right side has a little more overhang over the wheel top compared to the left one. All my gaps are very even, except the engine lid that's lower one side

J.P. iS that with the proper ride height set? It just bothers me mostly that the fender to door gap is off. I may try to massage it myself. Does anybody know how they really pull the cars around?? I mught try to pull the A-pillar if I can figure it out
