3.2 Euro vs US
As I am reading Paul Frere's Porsche 911 Story, I see that the Euro spec 3.2 has stock HP of 233 while the US (catalyst) version has 207.
Is it a fair assumption that if I remove the catalyst (replace w premuffler) and get a chip to match euro spec (steve wong), I can easily achieve 233? Can I go further? I plan on keeping muffler and heat exchanger. Want the most HP for the least dollars. Chris

To answer the orig question, I think the chip helps. It really helps to have the chip built to your needs and based on your car's specs as well as the fuel you use.

Doesn't want/need a 3.6L

My original 3.2L with a Steve Wong chip, Dansk pre-muffler and Dansk stainless muffler made 199 rwhp (some have seen more) which puts you in the horsepower neighborhood your contemplating. All with, ahem "9.5:1" US spec compression. Ralph |

Sorry I wasn't clear Creaturecat. I didn't mean to bunk your comment. I just meant that the reported and actual differ greatly (as the person above put it [a bit better])
