EFI converts: speak up! I am in the process of converting my car to EFI. Its a slow process that is dependent on completion of the ITBs (see other post). I am trying to compile all the information into one thread. No I am not going for any Ultimate threads but that's the idea. Who is using EFI? What system - electronics, throttle bodies, etc (please be specific)? Shop or self install/tuning? Did you dyno before/after? Were internal changes made? If so, what changes? (cams/pistons, etc) What are the driveablility changes? Throttle response? gas mileage? Thanks |

i would like to hear a few things about converting to EFI also. My CIS is in decent shape, but after seeing the threads about megasquirt and other low cost EFI solutions, I'm wondering why there isnt a reasonable package out there. |

Hey Kemo, WE got to see your car at Ron's a few weeks ago. Can't wait for the new bumpers to be put on. Love that Triad sound. |

i cant wait either...getting the seats recovered too... also, it seems like the car needs to be a bit lower now or maybe its just me. yeah, that Triad was a great buy and I think Ron has done an excellent job with the paint work. Hes been doing it forever, so i feel confident its getting done right. Back to the EFI, I if i had the dough, I would go with TEC3 and TMW Idividual TBs...I think thats just a great looking setup. Again...if i had the dough! |

use a carrera intake and throttlebody, swap ot the wot swotch on the carrera tb for a tps off a 944, get a 964 flywheel with a 60 - 2 tooth pattern use a hall effect crank sensor on the flywheel and use a autronic ecu use the cht sensor for warm up enrichment , hope this helps as far as improvement goes its all in the tune, bad tune no difference --- good tune world of difference. good luck. |
