Looks great! Another local '76.

On a side note, I can't wait until VicRoads adopt those "euro" style licence plates.

Andrew,

Looks a lot like my first 911 -- a '76 2.7 4-spd (manual), which is now owned by my good friend and fellow Pelicanite, Adam Chaplin.

Thanks for the comments guys

I will try to post some interior and engine shots soon.

Some more technical stuff.
I think the engine is not original but still a 2.7. It has the hydraulic chain tensioners new head studs etc but oddly still has a 5 blade fan.
5 speed manual australian compliance delivered in sydney, its spent most of it life up near byron bay, heaps of farm dirt in the nooks and crannies which I am slowly removing.

I have already replaced wipers, fixed wiper nozzles by sticking pins in them. Replaced old and bodgy tie rods with turbo ones, replaced all the front torsion and suspension bushings.

The guy in the first photo walking underneath the hoist was the previous owner - simon greenwood. He has a porsche speciality shop on the central coast (90kms north of sydney) called Autowerks. He replaced the clutch, and machined / new pad the brakes.

I really love the car, but still learning about the very different handling of the 911.

talk to you all soon.

a.

It has a nice clean look to it.
Very vintage early short hood with it's pop out rear glass and cookie cutters.
I like it

Thanks for the comments guys.

Bob (Flat 6) - The car does have a nice clean look about it in reality too. I have been underneath it in a few shops as well at home and the body is really good, and I am pretty fuusy about this aspect of cars.

The cookie cutters are a point of debate in my mind. I want fuchs because they look better and i guess are better wheels - but the authenticity of the cookies makes me attached to them.

Any thoughts from others?
