				spare tire leaking?

I have a 911 spare tire I blew up today and it leaked around the nipple. There is a small rubber groument under it, and the air was coming out from there. Also, does the filler nipple screw out from the wheel, because it is loose. It seemed that it was starting to unscrew, and then I tightened it and it seemed to get tighter. Can I take this out and replace the rubber ring, or is the tire history? Thanks for any reply

I'm just taking a flier here, but try getting a valve core tool @ any auto parts store. I think it will work on tightening the collapsable spare's core and valve the same as the standard tires. It's also a good idea to occasionally tighten the cores and valves of all your tires. The tool is cheap.
