Is this a factory part
Hello everyone.
What did the factory use to hold the plug wires as they wrap over the fan shroud? This Clip was on my motor on one side of the fan... but I need something for the other side. Is this a factory piece? I'd love to buy a 2nd one if it is, but pets shows 2 different part numbers... see here:http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1100565405.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1100565425.jpg |
You don't indicate the year of your car, but it's not even remotely close to what was used for the wires on my '88. I think you should expect something plastic and with spots for a couple of wires.
That looks like a rig job. |
good point on the year...
might be a rig job, but most of the motor is so well detailed I didn't know. Its a 1967 S motor, rebuilt by Supertec and I am amazed with Henry's attention to detail on the rest... It could be a rig job, but its cad platted at least... What do early motor cars have to hold the wires? tia brant |
McMaster-Carr carries those clamps as well as Fastenal...

yep that is a factory part, but it is missing the rubber sleeve around it...a larger version is used to hold your oil lines to the body in the pass wheel well

MJ,
cool thank you... I'll try to look up the PET # for the oil cooler line then.... (and buy one new or used) If anybody has one that is still shiny they want to sell??? brant |
