Running new wire from door switch to dome light -

As I continue to convert my 69S from track duty to street car I keep finding interesting little details. The car underwent a bare metal respray a few years back and in the process just about everything that was not essential to track duty was left disconnected. Neither of the interior lights work and it turns out the wire from the door frame switch to the light was merely cut and left disconnected. So I need to run a new wire from the door switch up to the light - any suggestions on how to accomplish this? Thanks.

it exits thru the upper kick panel area, by the edge of the dash. a brown wire w/white trace. lengthen the wire with maybe a butt commector and run it back in the hole and try to aim it in the area of the switch. thru the switch hole, shine a flashlight and as you twist and move the wire around, hook it with a bent piece of wire when it comes into view, and pull it thru.

Like putting a wet noodle in a wild cat's ass.

Try using a single strand wire first. It's a little more ridged.
Once it's thru the stranded wire can be taped to it and pulled into place.

Thanks Guys -

Looking at this again, it appears that none of the wires make it where they should. I assume the wires from the light run straight down the pillar and then exit somewhere by the corner of the dash on each side. I see where I cna easily run a wire from the door frame switch through the hole under the dash (there is a rubber grommet there). I just do not see any wires coming down under the dash from the lights themselves. I tried to feed a stiff wire inside the sleeve holding the wires together form the light but it gets hung up after a few feet. I do not want to be too agressive with that tactic for fear of harming the nice new headliner.
