smooth 915 trans
I just picked up an 86 carrera,my 5th 915 trans car and have owned 3 G50 carreras. It has 79k on it and has 8k on the trans/clutch re-do and I tell ya guys I have never driven a smoother shifting/clutch feel on our loved cars before! Is this going to be in ones opinion a short term thing or did the shop that rebuilt this gearbox and clutch hit it "spot on".I had a 88 carrera with under 30k on it and it was not this smooth-im starting to wonder about all the hype on the G-50 trans.Im not being too proud because I also have a 965,an SC and a 73 MFI car now as well.Try not to burst my bubble at least til the novelty wears off!

A properly set up 915 can be just as nice - or in some cases nicer - as a G50 any day.
