Has anyone used this seat recover kit?
I have seen this seat recovering kit on ebay several times and it looks like a decent deal. See here:
I was wondering if anyone has tried it and how well it works. I have a pair of seats covered in the german houndsooth material that are sitting in the garage gathering dust. I would eventually like to recover them in black leather/vinyl material.

In the ebay pic the centers and the bolsters look like they made of different vinyl. The vinyl on the bolsters has a "cheap" look to me. I don't know, maybe it's just bad pictures?

Look at his feedback. Everyone that has done business with him is a happy customer. Those that purchased the seat covers all said that the covers were better than they had expected. Sounds like a good deal to me. But I have never done business with them........

I bought a set from Island Importsand installed them, no issues, very pleased. Other area Pcar owners said they look great.. Make sure you have the tools to install them (hogs head pliers and rings, he sells them for under $15). I would recommend going to a local installer with your material. They have steam to streatch the vinyl. Not critical but you can rip it, ask me how I know. They shouldn't charge much if you bring them the seats and vinyl.

seat kit...
I bought this seat kit a few months ago and am extremely pleased with them! The quality is great, and they aren't too difficult to put on. The vinyl is very soft and pretty durable, and they look great with the rest of my interior. The set they sent me came with hog rings and hog ring pliers and the inland imports website has install instructions.

When I went to reupholster the seats in my Vovlo V-8 I looked far and wide. I found the only company making matched reuphlolstering covers which weren't in the stratopshere $$$ wise.
www.automotiveinteriors.com. the patternes were perfect and I was able to buy additional stuffing at Walmart. Use the 3M upholstery glue. The end result is incredible. Good support and the kits inlcude the hog ring pliers and hog rings. Total cost for front and rear seats on my 1983 Volvo: $200.00 plus additional stuffing.

I just ordered a pair of seat covers from Inland Imports - for a pair of 87 sport seats I just bought. Also plan to add heaters to the seats in an attempt to extend my open air targa season (living in colorado). I'll post some results in a few weeks after all the goodies I need for this arrive. Everything I could tell from researching the sources of seat covers gave me the impression Inland offers a very good value. I looked at our hosts product, but wanted perforated inserts rather than basket weave.
