Restoration Question - '85 Targa

Have seen this both ways................................are the bolts that attach the door hinges to the "A" pillar supposed to be cad plated or painted body color ??

Which way did this year come from da fatherland ??

my 73, 77, and 85 all have the bolts painted body color.
I've never see them left naked - on the older rides anyway.

On my '86 they are painted body color.

The bolts are supposed to be body color. The doors are aligned then the pins are pulled to remove the doors and keep alignment.

I have restored a 74 911 and removed the hindges, then used zinc coated hardware. I found out later that this was not how it is done. You might want to ask the paint/bodywork forum guys.
