New parts and small fabrication update!
Hey guys n gals,
Schools been keeping me busy so project twin turbo has slowed down in pace considerably. Heres the latest. New fabrication: Found some time to do the exit side end tanks for my intercoolers. They start out as cut aluminium tubing and plate. Then after some welding, finishing work and slight polish. The intake side tubing will be held together with these Adel Wiggins flexible tube connectors. I love the 2 finger install/removal plus the considerable weight savings and reliability gains vs. the traditional silicon+t-bolt clamp. Custom machined billet fuel rails. May have to remake these since I decided to go ITBs.

New toys:
ARP exhaust studs. Absolutely stunning to look at. Racepak UDX Digital Dash/DAS. Neat V-net system sensors for the Racepak. Hopefully I'll find more time after some of my school projects are done.

Peter- The welding is courtesy of my good friend Jason. He is a much more accomplished welder than I. Would hate to ruin all my hard work cutting and fitting everything to mess up the end product with my ugly welding.
I'll have some more pictures for you soon. LOL

Well, you need to get finished, my Porsche withdraw is not going well, the miata is only keeping me from a breakdown by the narrowest of margins. Nice work!

LOL. No convincing was necessary. I wanted them from the start. Just had to find the money to buy the expensive little guys.

Princeton, I'm following your project with much enthusiasm
![]() I assume you are fabricating two separate intercoolers? Where are you planning to mount the intercooler(s)? In the wheel arches? Looks fantastic! Well done

Merv- Thanks. Yep, 2 seperate coolers. They will be going in the rear wheel arches with ducting ala 959.
Rick- Had my friend who is much more adept at welding aluminum do the job. Welding was done with a TIG. Pure argon and 6061 filler rod. I decided to go with Garret cores.

![]() Do you think the coolers will be more prone to heat soak in that location, being beside the engine and brakes etc? I guess not much difference to a top mount configuration, where it gets heat soaked by the rising engine heat anyway ![]() Either way, I believe you will realise your HP goals
