Moving cars over the US
In shopping for a car, one of the considerations have been the cost of getting the car. The budget can be compromised when you think of paying someone as much as 25% down to as low as 10 or 15% of the cost of the car. Im looking for a roller which for them is a lighter easier to move car but costs just as much to get from point a to point b. Given the low cost of fuel prices these days, how much does it cost LATELY to move a car around. Im in Ga so what would it cost from Ca to Ga, maybe NY to Ga, and say OK to Ga? Anyone movin stuff around recently??? Any comments on someone NOT to use or to use would be appreciated!! Thanks, Mark

I have been told figure around $500 for a car moved from Houston to Ga., as just a starting point. I recently drove from Houston area to Griffen, Ga to buy another P911, and my cousin actually had 3 I wanted. He said he'd ship all 3 for $1500 to my place (he buys/sells often), mostly he deals with Porsches and Ferrari type auto. Danged his toys were nice. I'm still trying to figure out how to afford his 914-6 with 12" paint, what a car.
Maybe someone here has better numbers for your question, I can only offer what he told me, (but I didn't want some yahoo driving THAT car regardless), My trailor would only carry one, and my marriage also would only carry one. Can ya quizz the carriers, and get their quotes, then compare to Pelican info? I do remember where some folks got decent prices if they allowed a huge delivery window. I want my stuff tomorrow, so I'd be charged the premium. Now BTT. |
