Ignition switch Installation ?

I am having intermittent starting problems traced to the elect ignition switch.

In Wayne's book he mentions that "sources" have indicated that it is possible to reach the two screws of the electric portion of the switch w/o grinding the breakaway bolts.

Any sources here? Please let me know how this is done.

I must admit I took a look today and does NOT look promising gretting to the top screw. In fact as seat here I have a heating pack on back as proof. Damn I am getting to old!!

Any help is greatly appeciated.

TIA

look for a plug in the foreward bulkhead. If you have one insert a long screwdriver from the trunk.

Get those 'thumb' size screwdrivers. I have done it numerous times. You may also try a what I call an L-shaped screwdriver.

aka OFFSET SCREWDRIVER. I have one, and it comes in very handy for tight spaces.
