Homemade Dyno?

This guy seems to think he has built a homemade dyno. Is he blowing smoke or is this for real?

Reminds me of the guy (I think he was also from NZ) that built the gas turbine beer cooler. Now that would have been fun to build.

We built one for our kart engines. We used the Dyno-mite software.

What he built is pretty much a copy of a dyno-jet .

a drum of a known mass, and a method of measuring the acceleration of the drum..

Im sure it works..

Tim, I am in Grand Rapids, have built a 1918 British SE5a replica, have a 1939 J4a Cub Coupe and have built some props too, It would be great to get plans to a home dyno, there is really nothing much around GR, porsche wise its really dead, I think the area is just too Dutch.
