Engine Removal- Spedometer Cable
I have a 72 911 T:
Where does the spedometer cable disconnect? Any other enigmatic disconnections I should remember? Thanks. Ian |

at the end of the trans. undo the long aluminum nut attached to the cable, from the speedo drive attached to the trans end cover. reach up between the firewall and the trans mount passenger side of center. the ground strap is in the same area.

The back up switch wires just pull out of the switch on the trans. They're "bullet" style connectors that plug into the switch. This confuses people at times, as they think it shouldn't be so simple.
