What color is this 911?

I thought it was some weird purple color and I never paid much attention to the ads (with cars this color) in my car search.

Well I was pulling out of my street onto the main road a few evenings ago and this Targa rolls past in what I believe is this color.

It's some sort of silver...i have no clue...but it looked great.

What is the name of this color?

Could be Champagne....

Not sure..but I think it's a special paint called "diamant blue". In the past I responded to an add for a diamant blue P-car. When I saw the car it wasn't the kind of blue I suspected but the color I now see on the picture. Special 911 25 th anniversary colour.

Kees.

On my screen it looks like amethyst.

In 1988 they had a limited run of 944 Turbo S's that came in a silver rose metallic. It look's close to that color, if not it.

It may be quartz grey metallic or rauschequartz.

Here's my wife's cassis red Carrera. Her car is a little darker than PlymouthColt's photo.

Girls color?

Would you men pass up a 911 that flew through PPI but was this color?

creaturecat 11-27-2004 11:05 AM

girls colour

aways 11-27-2004 11:09 AM

I agree.... "Prom pink/purple"... :)

JeremyD 11-27-2004 11:19 AM

No

daka 11-27-2004 11:41 AM

Yes I would pass...
There are some colors that IMHO just are not right on a 911. Maybe on a Boxster. (uh oh, now I've done it)
Looking for a Targa... (driver, reasonable) Prefer RED a PORSCHE color....http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1101588093.jpg
I never should have sold my 79....

Look at it this way:

If you love the color, buy it.

If you don't . . .

Every time you walk outside & look at it, you will think: "Hey, it's not a girly color. In fact, I think it's cool"

But you'll just be trying to justify the fact that you bought a car that you think is a girly color. You're buying a dream car, so get the color that matches YOUR idea of YOUR dream car. Nothing else will do.

It is a different color no doubt, Would I buy it? naw. That's a girlie-man colour. Bmw painted some of their cars almost the exact same color. It looked like s--t on them as well.

My shop sells and services highline cars. They had a BMW 740I in that color and couldn't give it away.
