When mounting intake runners from '78-'79 onto an engine from '80 up, do I need an earlier airbox as well or can I mount early intake runners to an '80 airbox? '78-'79 intakes are 39mm vs 34mm on the later, but, is it the same airbox? Thanks.

you need the early big runner airbox, as well as the sensor plate housing, which has a larger disc. an ad on the wanted forum will turn them up.

Thanks John, That's what I thought, but:
CIS Air Box, 911 (1977-79), 911 Euro (1978-83) C-110-906-00 $418.45 CIS Air Box (38mm Intake Port), 911 (1974-77), 911 (1980-83) C-110-904-00 $440.95 Shouldn't the 38mm intake port be for the '77-'79? I thought that the '80-'83 had the smaller 34mm intake. Can anyone clarify? Thanks.
