I have Technology 18's on my RS America. I hit a piece of cement debris on the freeway and trashed the rims and tires on my passenger's side. Thankfully, no blowouts, or collateral damage that I can see. I'm getting it checked out tomorrow.
Question 1: Does anyone have experiences to share with insurance claims on wheel damage? Anyone have significant premium increases with one claim? I have CSAA, by the way. Question 2: Any recommendations on dealers for Cup 1s? If I am going to take a bath on this, I may choose to put the proper wheels back on. I know of Wheel Enhancement, and their prices aren't that bad on refurbs. Thanks in advance for any input.

I would say that in general, you don't want to make a claim if you don't have to. Consider your deductable and the overall cost of straightening the wheels. If you have 250 or 500 deduct, I wouldn't bother. JMO.
They may not want to buy you new tires if they hold air. Me, I'd buy new tires. AFIK, you can't xray a tire. |
