I know this thread is old, but does anybody know how likely it would be for a 2.7 to only leak at the cylinder base gaskets if head studs were loose? Is it more likely that the head to cylinder area would leak before the base gasket? From all the research Ive done, Ive concluded the head to cylinder area is what is to be concerned about. Wayne's quote above makes me think a cylinder base gasket leak on a 2.7 that is not leaking at the heads would be from warpage. Can anyone verify if my thinking is correct?

Thank you :)
