Warmup Regulator Source
I have read several times here that many folks have replaced their WUR since the units no longer function properly - which probably can be expected after a couple of decades of use. Although the units are simple in construction I wanted to have a spare unit on the shelf in the event that mine goes south. I looked at several sources and the best prices were on units that are rebuild plus you send them yours as a core. Since mine still works that wasn't an option so I found this site:
http://www.maximumautoparts.com/PO_Warm~Up~Regulator_911--005_items.html The on-line catalog was confusing since the same part was listed in two different areas: once at a price of $357.38 and again at $208.40. I contacted them a couple of times and asked about the huge price difference but they assured me the $208.40 was for a new Bosch WUR. The unit arrived today, factory sealed in a Bosch box, part number 0 438 140 090 at a total cost of $208.40 (shipping was free).

Great price - I had a shop in Seattle install one in my '73.5 last year. The WUR was $405 & Labor $280......With new plugs and tax, it was over $800.......That hurt....Twas then when I bought Wayne's book and got serious about reading these forums every day. I'm much more enlightened and doing my own work now....
