First P-car oil change.

I did my first Porsche oil change today. Also topped off the transmission fluid because of a little leak. I took about an hour scrapping away with a wire brush getting some gunk off the bottom. I think my engine mounted oil cooler leaks or has leaked. It is pretty well gunged.

The lower weight oil definitely feels better in this snow covered plane of hell that I live in than the dino 20w50 that was in there previously.

Changed the air filter too. I think I've done four or five of Wayne's projects now.

excellent job...good thing you didn't have a repeat of the Exxon Valdez occur in your garage. Honestly, as many times I read about how fast the motor oil would come gushing out, I thought I was prepared. A roll of blue paper towels and about a pound of kitty litter I managed to clean up my mess...

Yeah, I was prepared too. Except I misjudged the angle of the oil on the sump drain so some hit the floor.

And I also undid the rear oil pressure release valve thinking it was the sump drain. Several parts shot out into the hot oil that I had just drained from the tank.

No doubt. The auto skills center is probably the best benefit the military has in my opinion.
