Hey, Y'all
Just got back from the (first long) Thanksgiving drive and everything is Jake. Car ran strong without any trouble...she even started up in the 28 degree mountain air. If anything, the car seems to be running better now than it did before I left. Maybe I am just getting used to reving the motor up to where she sounds happy. For those of you in or near NC there are some great roads worth driving that I did not know about (until this Board, thanks KC911). Here is a link to give you maps, etc. http://www.tailofthedragon.com/ What a drive! I took 74 west to 129 North to 28 east. There is a cool old motel along the drive called the Tapoco Lodge where I took this pix...looks like there are some stories here... ![]() And one out the windshild in a calm moment... ![]() Thanks for all the good advice, I was prepared for anything but all I had was a great time...where ever I stopped people asked questions or commented on the car! I can't wait until the next trip.

NC Back Roads
I lived in GSO for two years 92-94 and covered most of NC for my Sales Job at the time, about 50,000 miles in 24 months, the roads between Cashiers, and Lake Toxaway are AWSOME! At the time I had a Taurus SHO, went through 4 transmissions before Ford MO Company bought it back, the Yamaha engine was SUPER! The rest of the drivetrain just couldnt keep up....... The same engine going in the new V-8 Volvo suv, they just added 2 cyl. Anyways you just brought back fun driving memories! John
