Latest Status as of Thanksgiving '04

Got the car running on Thanksgiving morning and went out for a little run (only 30 miles or so) and cleaned up. Replacement fuel pump (thanks Shaun!!) and now just need to get it into a shop for the, ahem, rust repair on my previously rust-free car. Nothing serious and then the interior should go rather quickly. I’m also chasing down the backfire at rundown and have been thoroughly scouring Warren’s threads. My fuel cutoff switch is not connected for one and I’m sure I’ll find more little things here and there. Then I may take it into Beck’s for some pro tweaking. I’m kind of hard headed and want to get it running better on my own. As good as I can that is. Washed it up and my neighbor put a coat of nano-wax (what-ever that is) and it turned out great.

I was playing around with a sticker and some magnetic material and made this.

Can't comment until more pictures...other than to say looks great so far. Damn I wish I could get another 911 and have it be a pre 1973 so I could have some real fun.

Thanks guys, Here's a few more. I wanted to get out earlier this morning but didn't make it. By the time I made it, the sun was too high and most shots were crappy.

And I'm all for a Phoenix run!! Maybe Joe and I will be sort of done wrenching on our cars enough to do a drive sometime in January.

Oh yeah, my car sits so high because I only have the driver's seat installed. The rest of the interior is stripped out. After I get it all back together, I'll perform lowering, corner balance and alignment. That should help a lot.
