Center seat console
I have an 89 Coupe which I bought this summer, and I have just finished a (nearly) complete interior restoration. I however am missing the console/cover which goes between the seats and covers the emergency brake and heater levers.
Can someone please tell me what this is called? Some pictures would also be nice since I am not sure exactly how this should look. I have heard of a rotary 0123 knob which controls the footwell heaters, and I think it may be part of this center console. My heater blowers are not working, and I wanted to be sure I'm not missing a vital switch. Thanks |

Here is the plastic cover (more of a 'cup holder shot') that covers the e-brake and holds the rotary switch. The rotary switch goes were the cover is in the center top (I've removed mine). The switch is either a 0-3 switch, or a 0-10 switch depending on the car's options.
0-3 switch:

Thanks for the pictures. I'm not sure whether mine originally had the manual or automatic option, but based on what I've read I doubt neither the footwell blowers nor the engine compartment blower would work with a missing switch.
Thanks, Shawn |

Your footwell blowers may not be working because the blower in the engine compartment is not working. They work on a rely from the engine compartment - if it is not working, the footwell blowers will not work.
Once you've got the switch hooked up, make sure the blower in the engine compartment is working. If it isn't working (it may take a minute or two to start after you turn the switch on), then you'll have to troubleshoot the engine compartment blower. Check connections, fuses, wire etc. Good Luck!
