Car check out in Orange County

I've have been talking with a fellow Pelican board member for a couple of weeks about purchasing his 84 Targa. From the pictures and information he has provided it looks like a very nice car. Is there someone in the Huntington Beach (CA) area that can take a look at the car for me and give me their impression. Would like to get some additional feedback before proceeding with a PPI. I know the seller is ok with this and has suggested this approach.

I haven't seen the car in person, but I know a number of OC pelicans have (if it is the one I'm thinking of). Seems to be a very well sorted car from the pics and history.

Try Dick Thorpe at Pristine Motorsports 225 5th St. Huntington Beach 714 960-2421. Been there a long time and very well respected. Did an excellent job helping restore my 1989 Speedster.

Ditto, Pristine is good place in HB for a PPI.

I am only 15 minutes away from HB and would be happy to take a look and snap a few photos. I am no expert when it comes to short hood cars but I can help if needed. Pristine is in HB and would be a good place for the PPI.
