Tire question from a newbie
Guys,
Have decied to buy a new set of tires for my '78 911. I was expecting my current tires to reflect the usual 6" in front and 7" in rear. However, to my surprise all 4 tires are 205/55 R16's. Is this as odd as I think it is? Does this mean I have rims that are not original. What would you guys recommend for replacement sizes. Sorry if this questions is elementary. TIA. |

The 205/55/16 should be on your fronts and 225/50/16's on the rear.

They may have put the same size tire on all 4, they will fit on 6&7's look at the wheels, you can see the difference in the 6 & 7 inch from the outside, or pull them off and get the numbers off the backs.
