My 911 gets MUCH more attention than my Jeep Cherokee or my wife's Sienna... Others must feel the same about their 911s, which is why there are so many nice 20+ year old 911s out there compared with 20+ year old toyotas...

Not even close-the Ram gets the drive through car wash and occasionally some hand scrubbing on the wheels/tires.

Nope. I wash the 911s by hand, and it doesn't seem like a waste of time at all.

The 20 minutes it takes to run my wife's VW Touareg through the automatic carwash...well, that's time I'll never get back.

Wife's vehicle, my Mountaineer and the 911 get equal attention. Like what you're supposed to do with children, you know?

I got back and forth between the 911, the M3, and one of the buses. Right now it's the 911's turn in the spotlight. I have some upgrades planned for the M3 in the future, #1 being new suspension.

It is a hard balance but I love my 911 a little more than my VW. The 911 sits in the garage and the brand new car on which I am making payments on sits outside. But I like each for different reasons. My dad asked me why I don't wash his car (Toyota Camry) with as much passion as my cars and I told him that his car doesn't exhibit soul. Maybe I am little crazy but I am sure you guys are the same way.

My mini gets washed, polished and hoovered regularly. The 911 gets a quick going over with a hose and the rubber mats get shaken out when absolutely unavoidable. But it's the 911 I love.

Unfortunately for my wife, I tend to keep all three vehicles clean at all times. We don't eat in them and they are usually vacuumed once a week and kept as clean as the weather permits.
Of course, a deer decided to remodel the side of our truck today!!
Met my sister near Indiana to transport my Mom to home from Chicago.
Good thing she was bringing presents back...I almost took the 911.
No injuries but my wife was disappointed that I didn't throw the bastard on the truck and continue the 500 mile journey. The deer went to a homeless food bank I am told.

My other two vehicles (2004 Ford F150 and 2005 Ford Freestyle) are leased for 2 years, so I don't wash, wax, etc... just add gas and change the oil, regular maint. nothing special. I don't even want to open the hood on those cars!!

My other car is an '88 Honda, and it's a real beater. I mean, really. The exhaust manifold gaskets have been gone for months. Heck, the exhaust manifold heat shield is in my backseat, because I haven't bothered to re-install it. The electricals are so bad -- I haven't had indication of coolant temperature since last October, and the check engine light comes on randomly -- I ignore it completely. When I put tires on the Honda, I gave my keys to the lady and said, "Normal car, nothing special, just put tires on it." When I went to get tires for the 911, I insisted on observing the lifting, double-checked the tech's torque specs and tire pressures, and inspected the Fuchs afterwards.

So, uh ... no, I sure don't.

Yes all my cars get the same love and affection. If I lavish too much on one, the others get jealous and run like crap. I just put new pads and rotors on the Alfa and the 911 developed a real scarry knock on cold start up. I need to get it to the shop quick for it's new AC and oil cooler! I don't know WHAT I'm going to do when I bring the 968 home. Talk about sibling rivalry!

My Porsche usually sits clean under a cover in the garage.

The other two also get garage treatment, but no covers. Lucky for them, however, the other two each get a handwash every weekend (by me!).

I haven't taken any of my cars to a carwash in more than a decade!

No. Near-new Pathy 4x4 goes to the car wash...then it just collects dust. Accord goes to the car wash, and the wife beats it around town.
911 gets all the attention...hand washed, waxed, etc...wife approves...she loves the 911 lots. She doesn't even want me to drive it, but just preserve it instead. Well, sorry babe, just gotta drive it. Zoom.

I um...forgot I had other cars

I seriously can't remember the last time I washed my GTi, but since I'll be selling it and either parting out or selling the other two 911s my '72 will become the daily driver.

I haven't washed the other car in quite some time. However, the Toyota doesn't require any love. I spent about 6 hours yesterday replacing the timing belt. It took about 2 hours to get down to it and then I said, "this thing looks brand new." I replaced it anyway, but the toyota has been absolutely flawless. The only things ever wrong with it have been wear items like the tires and ebrake. After 100,000 miles and 6 years, the only thing broken is a stupid vacuum line that my friend put a slipped wrench through yesterday.

Why is there a vacuum line going to the power steering pump anyway?

My SC has been washed more in the last few months than my other car has in the last few years.
