How to buy this part?
This is part of the 02 sensor, but I have no idea what it's called. Mine died when I tried to disconnect the 02 sensor....it's just crumbled in my hand.
Can this part be replaced (cheaply and easily). I only need it to work for emissions inspection day. What do I search under, I couldn't find it... Thanks! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1101955786.jpg |
If we are both thinking about the same part, I had the same thing happen to mine a few years ago. It's the orange/brown insert that is inside the connector for the O2 sensor. I would like to get my hands on one too.

You cannot buy this anywhere. It is just plastic that is past its time. You can search on my name and same subject. I asked this awhile ago too.
Apparently, it is just the end of a nine foot wire that goes around the engine bay. Most people who care to even recconnect the wire just use connectors bought from NAPA or some other autoparts store. It is supposed to carry 1 volt max at an extremely low amperage so it doesn't matter. I haven't gotten around to doing it yet so I can't really speak to the results, but others have gotten along with that solution. |
Agreed - an insulated generic connector should suffice, although it won't match a new O2 sensor...
