H4 headlight trim Q's

I have the original headlamps pictured here:
I want to make them into these pictured here:

Since I am finw with my current headlamps light output I am wondering if i could just buy these 2 parts and replace the lense and the trim ring pictured here:

Would this work? I know the headlamps stock are sealed beam so would having another lens ontop of it mess with the beam? Sound like this plan to just get the lens and ring would work?

I don't really know for sure, but I think there is more to these assemblies than these two parts.

I have H4s on my car and a set of US-spec sealed beams and the assemblies themselves are completely different.

The euro H4 is a completely different assembly than the sealed beam H4 setup. You will have to buy the entire euro h4 assembly to get the look of the car in the second picture.

For colored to match, you buy the trim ring that goes over the outer part of the H4 assembly. It comes primered and you paint it to match. In the last picture you have posted above, the trim piece is in red. It screws into a special screw that holds the H4 assembly to the fender.

You do need to buy the whole assembley. The housing of the Bosch H4 is much larger than the standard hella H4 set up. You can buy them in either chrome or black trimmed and there is an additional trim piece that can be purchased seperatly that comes primered. Here is what the black trim would look like on your car.

Chrome looks pretty nice IMO!

You can always add the painted trim piece later and switch back when you are feeling like a change.

I like the chrome too. I bought mine on EBay for about 50% of retail, new in the boxes, so I can't complain about the black. I plan on adding the trim, painted to match the car.
