water leak inside my car

I have a water leak somewhere. When ever it rains, I get water building up on my floor board. The car can be parked and I will have a good size puddle. I can't seem to trace it anywhere. Has anyone else experienced that or know a particular area to look at that would cause it.

Does your car have a sunroof? When it's parked is it level?

Use your garden hose to trace the water in.

On my 69T, I had many leaks issues (fixed some) not all yet...getting close though. In regards, of the rear area I have faced the following:

- Rear quarter windows seals were old, and craked...got these replaced. (could go all the way down to the floor...follow the rotten/wet soundproofing)
- Rear window was leaky...got some pros to inject silicone all around. (this translate into rust on the rear seats seams)
- the car had been repainted 10 years ago, and door liners were not put back on...glued and taped some plastic sheet inside the doors. (the water will go directly to the floor under seats)

This is my experience...
I shall say that I have too much experience on that topic...especially when I go tell my wife ... "honey, you know what? I found another leak!"...fortunately, she loves the car too!

Ahhhh! That might be it. Mine are cracked pretty good on both sides. I was eventually going to replace these but I didn't know what that consisted of. It looked like the window and that were one unit. Did you do the work yourself or did you have it done?

After ages searching & sealing every gap I finally traced my leak to my doors. Despite having the plastic liner in place, water was still getting through a small gap. It would pool, in the door ledge (inside the seal. and overflow to the floor. I went crazy with bathroom sealant & now have a dry car.

Make sure you do the hose test first...before opening your wallet.

I did the change myself (fairly easy), but remember that I don't have the rigid rear quarterwindows, but the ones that open up. (Hope it is clear) I have no idea what it takes on the other type of windows...
