930 market?

Looking at a 1985 930 for my brother who is overseas. Swede market car with the Euro trim and lights. Original black paint with some minor chips and road blast. Interior is tan leather in good driver shape; seats are smiling but not worn out or cracked. Carpet is fair.

The car is a runner and I know the PO put a fortune in parts in the mill, all work done by a professional Pcar mechanic (the prior owner). Twin Turbo brakes all around it was built to run at the track and stay together and looks completely stock inside and out.

Engine mods I know: knife edged balanced crank, Carrillo rods, fordged light-weight pistons, head work, port and polish, 964 cams and 964 intercooler. Upgraded larger turbo and tuned via dyno. The car was sold to the current owner with the boost dialed back to improve drivabilty (probably to add lige to engine and driver too). Suspension upgraded & lowered for improved track handling, (street geometry at moment).

Trans is an oem 930 LSD with a recent replaced lsd diff (Japanese unit cant recall brand, oem was shot) upgraded shifter and upgraded steel syncros for durability running hard at the track.

Its a driver, thats all it needs. 70 k and 15k on the engine work.

My concerns:
original take offs are gone so back to 100% stock is not easy. Fuchs are long gone...
value: now and in 2 yrs??

I think this car is worlds apart in value from my clapped out coupe and would value some input from the knowledge here. I would buy it for myself hands down and drive the hell out of it, but I don't know the market as well as I should and this car is for my brother not me! Thx KC

930 values are climbing. Likely the car will be worth more in 2 years than it is now.

It's still hard to give an accurate figure on how much this car is "worth." Some good engine mods you've listed, but you never get your money back (as a seller) on those things. Not too many miles since the rebuild, but it also depends on who did the rebuild and how the car's been run since then (tracked?). That it's a grey market car doesn't seem to make a big difference anymore. What kind of wheels are on the car now? Something desirable like Fikse/HRE/Forgeline/RH/Zuffenhaus? Or something you'd want to ditch ASAP?

If the seller is desperate to sell maybe $30K on the low end, and up to $40K if the buyer's really smitten?
