Looks good. However, the hump over the engine and behind the top is too "humpy" and large. I'm sure it has a lot of importance in relation to the design of the car, though (i.e. aero, space). I'm sure its even better in person.

What sucks now is that I really really want a 90 thousand dollar car. I haven't had that desire since '98.
![]() They sound much better than the 996s too. Vrooom vroom.

![]() ... another Porsche press release photo that has more airbrush work than reality !! Seeing a 997 body throw light like that would be a very rare occurrence. The soft jellybean shape of the Boxster/ 996/ 997 has not, and will not, look as exciting and defined as the altered pictures they feed us. ...probably comes from the body being designed on a computer to start with.... just MHO..

my friend is picking up a 997S next month...struggled between the cab and the coupe for a while
As much of a step up from the 996...and how they addressed the moaning and *****ing of "purists" like me... I still think the 993 and the pre-73's take the cake...nothing sweeter they those 2 MJ |

Q) What would be the "minimum income" that a single fella would have to earn to be able to afford one of these babies?
(tryin to justify a possible purchase here ...

Ha, my thoughts exactly Matt. Still has the 996 cab hunch-back effect.
