Poll. Which bumper?
Need an additional oil cooler for my 3.6 converison
I have different choices.... IROC Mike Feinstein 934 RUF CTR I am leaning towards the 934... I am going to have the car converted to wide body with 930 flares... Do u think the 934 is too much for street? Thanks |

I prefer Ruf, cleaner lines. The 934 style is my second choice, but I think it would be overkill on the street.

Daily driver, weekend street car, track car?
Crash protection? What is the primary use of the car going to be? -Jeff

Wide body (930 style flares). Daily driver with at least 15 DEs.
934 bumper will minimize the airflow underneath the car. It is also the least clean... Crash protection... Yes... but they are all fiberglass, aren't they? I was looking at the GT racing catalog... |

Just redoing my car. I would look at GT racing also. Most get sticuck where you are as daily driver and DE car. Hard to find a decent compromise. On the street you rip up any of the good track bumpers. BTDT and my isn't even close to a daily driver.
I finally dumped the nerf bars and went to all glass...there isn't anything there anyway once you pull the stock bumpers, which are as noted, very good and very light. Street and DE? I would add a 934 valance and leave the bumpers. B/F looks to be a good compromise. Last edited by rdane; 12-07-2004 at 12:44 PM.. |

The 934 is the coolest looking bumper of the bunch, but also more difficult to not smash than the RS or Ruf. The 934 also has more intakes than you are likely no need which can't help the aero. The RS or Ruf would probably be your best bet

934 is the coolest, but when I was shopping it was not to be had for 930 style widebody. Maybe you have a different source, but mine specified 934 style flares up fron to make it fit.

the picture of the 934 at the start of the thread is certainly a 930 bodied car and does not have 934 flares... I put a call into GT racing to find out...

I vote for IROC, but only if you're doing the rear also (bellows delete). Otherwise, custom RS would look cool.
BTW, do you need a front license plate in NC?

IROC style is classic... 934 is overkill for the street.
For what it's worth, I don't like the smooth lines of the RuF CTR... it looks to 964-like.

I too think that the 934 is overkill for the street, you'd break it in no time.
I kinda like the look of the custom RS w/ the stock bumper. Who made that? I think that you could add a flexible rubber lip below that and be as close to the ground as the 934 without the heartbreak.
