throttle position control pressure regulator

Me again,

I'm reassembeling my '74 CIS, and have only one connection to my throttle position control pressure regulator, the hose to the return fuel line. The other side looks like a vinyl hose was twisted off at some point, I have no other unaccounted for hoses like this, and can't find a full diagram showing both connections. anybody know what should be there? My best guess is from the manuals it looks like the fuel line from the fuel diz to wur should have a t and feed said tpcpr. Stumped...

Oh ya, I have one stainless steel fuel line from diz to injector, is this a brake line that was used? Any problem with leaving it in?

Throttle Position Switch is one thing, Control Pressure Regulator (Also called Warm Up Regulator, WUR) is another. Does a '74 have a throttle position switch? SS line from fuel distributor to injector used for brake line? Makes no sense.

My '74 has the throttle position switch, it's referred to in the shop manual as the throttle position control pressure regulator, it presses onto the throttle shaft; either way, it only has one hose conected. My WUR is mounted to intake runner #2, and has all lines conected.

At some point prior to my ownership the fuel line from the fuel distributor to injector #6 was replaced with an ss line. I did not know these were available and thought it might be some kind of rigged brake line.

Jim to the rescue again! I meant the oem lines, braincramp on the vinyl. That diagram looks like it shows a banjo fitting on the fuel line to the WUR, to share that line, between washers(51). It also appears that line 60(which I have) goes from TPCPR to the fuel return line(I assume to bleed off pressure). What do you think?

leave it off, unless to want to chance making it run wierd again. those get bypassed in an effort to get a decent running engine. it might have been done for a reason, and may or may not have made a difference. the center fitting on the fuel distributor was longer than the later models, and held a banjo fitting w/hose under it that went to the throttle regulator. best way to make them run good is swap fuel distributor, throttle housing, and warmup regulator from a 76 or 77. the first CIS systems were wierd.

hmmm, funny you mention hand throttle, mine was disconected. I am sure at this point that all POs of my car jury rigged everything...I see my engine rebuild, and conversion to efi will come sooner rather than later. JW- the car was wierd before I took apart the spyder...that's why I am rehosing it, and to clean it up, oil leaks etc.
