Kill Switch
Since I don't have an OWNERS MANUAL for my 87 Targa HINT I don't know which relay is the fuel pump, to remove when leaving the car.
Also, is it possible to put another switch in the dash to shut off the power to the relay? Seems like there is a cut out behind the fabric on the dash opposite side of the headlight washer that could have another washer switch to control the fuel pump? ![]() And what does the key lock in the drivers door control?

Key lock is the factory alarm. You may be able to get a key by VIN number from the dealer if your care is not a ROW grey market import. You can't simply bypass or jump it, it works on two different internal resistors and looks for the right resistance (read that in a post once). You can buy reproduction owner's manuals from Pelican, very high quality. You should be able to tell what relay is what by looking on the inside of your fuse box cover (I think). Others may chime in on switches for your relay or other kill switch ideas.

BTW, you may be suprised to know that a new Targa top is around $5,000 couldn't believe it myself. Make sure its locked down when you drive off, tell your wife that too if she uses the car. From your posts, I'm guessing your new to pelican and the Targa also. Use the search feature at the bottom right of the forum and enter "Kill Switch" and you'll probably finds hundreds of posts.

OK, so much for that, I thought that I remembered that one of the relays under the hood, with the bunch of other relays was the fuel pump...but that was my 79!
As far as the switch in the door jamb, that is the one I was talking about...seems that the dealer can't order a new key for that (Champion in Pompano FL) Anyone ever get one made somehow?
