Differences between 1973 and 1975 body

Hello,

are there any BODY differences between 1973 911 and 1975 911?

I mean structural, not cosmetic, only the chassis and body.

Thanks

Josep

Just the bumpers and the rear deck area where the PORSCHE reflector is. Other than that... pretty much the same...

Early chassis had two battery boxes, one on each side. I think changed in 70... I could be wrong on that date.

The change to a single battery came along with the new bumper in 74. The crossmember with the hood latch is also different in the older cars.

front fenders, bumpers, tail reflector area as mentioned before, two batteries versus one, longhood versus shorthood. Also the trunk corssmember is farther forward than on the 74+ cars.

With regard to interchangability, just about everything will interchange. Some directly, some with slight mods... The tub has the same configuration overall.

Some '75 fuel pumps were rear-mounted, with a bracket welded to the chassis.

I bet that early 73's don't have door beams. The '75 should have them.
