I've been to that Dealership...they have A LOT of cars! Lots of hot cars. They make lots of money so, one Porsche is likely not a big deal to them, especially, if the salesman was related to the guy that owns the store. Maybe ???
Chris Streit bought his 4-Runner from them. |

2 words... HA HA

It happened. Talked to another local about it. Place is about 7 miles from my house.
As Souk mentioned, bought my truck from them. They are rumored to fix up damaged exotics and sell them... Yeah, but the 4-runner was a trade in and you can be DAMN sure we did a full PPI on it. It's funny, I know a guy who bought a silver GT-2 from them, hope he didn't take it there for service, har har... |
Pictures are real!
Car was out of IRA Porsche north of Boston.
For you non-believers goto www.wreckedexotics.com For more pics. |
SORRY NOT BOSTON DEALER!
Downers Grove IL, Ira had a GT stolen and not recovered
here are more picshttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1103039930.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1103039941.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1103039950.jpg |
look closely at the last picture. It's the latest in "onboard fire suppresion". Now thats carnage for you.
|
An interesting note!
Looks like the firemen dropped the car onto the hydrant. How? In one shot the car has a smashed but intact roof, in the next, the fire hydrant s piercing the roof! |
|
Chris, there's definitely a hole in the roof in the second shot.
|
It looks like the fire plug pierced the roof right above the drivers seat. I wonder if the idiot knew how close he came to getting killed?

must 'ave been driving pretty fast to flip a car over a curb !
and that suspension must be seriously tough : i once clipped a curb when i skidded over an oil spillage  in my mothers lowered saab 93 SE doing about 40 mph... the only thing that happened was the wheel snapped off ( i was steering right, the curb was 25 to 30 cm high and wheel hit curb parallel ) was able to drive home like shumi got to the pits during the belgian GP of 2002.... 3 wheels is all you need if your suspension is set for the track :D |
I dunno...those new pics look photochopped to me.

I bet that was a horrible sound of the windows popping, and the roof collapsing and being punctured ... all at the same time. |
That street (Ogden) is a terribly busy street, the driver must have been weaving in and out of traffic to get any speed...idiot!
|
The "hydrant through the roof" shot clearly shows the damage to both driver's side rims indicating a square hit of that side into the curb, causing the roll-over. This is why race tracks don't have curbs, even the lowest race car will barrel-roll when the bottom part stops suddenly.
We've all made our youthful mistakes, but whomever tossed the GT-2 keys to a 19 yr. old should have his nuts braided. No responsible dealer even allows test drives of cars like that; what's the purpose? To see "what it will do/test the performance"? It's a miracle that no innocents were killed. Or that the fool didn't drown in the car. ;) |
I see the hole now. Looks like it's right over the drivers head...
|
I recalled the photo, saw it again when putting the newspapers out for recycling.
I like to imagine that Robbie was telling the flatbed operator to be careful... Tim http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1103086759.jpg |
