Anyone running the Yokohama Avid V4S?

Greetings,

I was looking at the ES100, but a tire guy highly recommended the V4S because of its firmer compound. The treadwear rating on the V4S is much higher than that of the ES100, and the V4S also has an excellent traction rating.

The guy recommended the V4S because my car sits for extended periods of time (I travel quite a bit, and probably put 800 miles/year on the car ), and he said the softer compound of the ES100 will "flat spot" much faster/easier.

Thanks!

just bought a set of ES100's. I will probably put on more than 800mi per year, but doubt that I will exceed the stated 50k wear rating for the tires over 5 years; so I figured why not have something that performs better. Think the tread pattern is way cool too
