Bought the car in September odo/trip meter doesn't work no idea of the mileage. After buying the car and putting a few thousand into it I thought it might be wise to get a few opinions. I should have done this before putting money into the car but I didn't find this forum until after purchasing. My only excuse is I drove the car and fell in love. More pics here.

http://home.comcast.net/~m.d.larson/wsb/html/view.cgi-photos.html-MerchantID-61582-Publish-t-makestatic-true-skip-10.html

If you go to the beginning of the pics you can see what it looked like when I bought it. Still needs some front end work. Has a shake at 60 but I think it might be the adapters for the wheels. New tires in the future of this car the ones on it rub the fender right where the headlights are. More on my to do list. Suggestions/advice welcome

I would try to match the front and rear bumper styles. I think it would look cool if you continued the updated bumper style for the rear and even update the rear lights "while you're in there."

Looks like a fun car though... enjoy!!!

After getting the car back from the body shop I can't get the engine hood lever to work. Is there a way to trip it manually? Haven't tried the lever with another person lifting I am alone at the moment. This can wait till morning when I get home from work.

Before beginning surgery, try pushing down on the lid to move it a little in one direction or another and then try lifiting it, and see if it pops open. There have been numerous threads written on this subject. Just do a search.

Someone once suggested driving the car up a driveway ramp at an angle while pulling out on the release handle. As the body flexes, the hood may pop open. I guess you'd have to go at the driveway from the other direction before giving up on that one.

My 74 had a shake above 60, I tried new wheels , balancing tires with them mounted on the car, new tie rods, etc. Finally I replaced the rotors and rebuilt the calipers. This took care of the shake for me.

Ok, you may laugh at the budgeting of these suggestions, but I think its for the best:

1. Wheels - 17s a minimum, will completely change the look of the car. The spokes aren't doing it for me, not a bit. FM10s, K5s, etc, would really do this car the justice it deserves.
2. Rear Bumper - Needs to be smoothed out to match the nose
3. Wing - The RS wing doesn't do much for me, and doesn't flow really well with the rest of the car. Maybe if she had some new wheels and rear bumper it would look better...
4. Mirrors - needs to be updated, they distract from the flow of the car. I suggest aero's if you can afford them.
5. Exhaust - Looks like you've got a dual-in/dual-out but the 4-tips aren't working for me. Put a flowmaster via-Craig911 on the beast.

Looks like a nice little project, the interior looks great. With a few little touch-ups I think she could really kick some butt. good luck

Front wheels are rubbing on the back of the headlight housing when you turn so the wheels have to go will look up those wheels right away. Will look for the mirrors and exhaust this weekend

those are Kinesis K5s. The bumper is photoshop'd (along with the rest of the photo) but Im sure you can find a bumper someplace that extends further downward than what you've got now.
