valve adjustment question

Greeting all,

Just replaced heads and rings on my '72 T motor. Is valve re-adjustment needed after running the car for a couple hours or will the gaps stay set? Is there some standard procedure for when you reinstall heads?

Thanks,
Marty Scott

Check the torque on the headstuds and readjust the valves after running the motor for 20 minutes and then at 500 miles.

Damn Marty, it's been so long it took me a minute to put the name to the face. Do you still come down to Jefferson City?

Sure do, Kurt. Was down there last Tues. & Wed.. My Grandfather passed away and we came to town for the funeral.
I see you're in Lohman now and I was curious as to where that is in relation to Jeff. City. I'll being coming down a little more frequently in the future and would love to look you up. Don't forget to give me a holler when you're in the DSM area.
