Weather strip woes
I'am trying to finish the restoration on my 71 E, does anyone know about the installation of the felt upper door seal?? There is a full door rubber body seal on the body but the seal kit also includes a felt upper door seal about the length of the upper window frame. I can't see any way to mount this seal....Help!

The felt strip was a later addition - someone else can tell you when it appeared, but our early cars didn't use it. It was attatched using small screws, therefore your using it would require drilling a series of holes in order to mount it.

I think this was an attempt to reduce the long-hated wind noise.
I've heard that there are several fixes to reduce wind noise and one guy has them all compiled but you have to pay money to access his info.
