912e m caliper to 911 m caliper

I have calipers off of a 912e, they are considered m's, now my only question is they are for non-vented rotors, does anyone make a plate that you can bolt in the two halves as to expand the caliper to adapt to a vented rotor? Im sure you could make something, is this all possible as well? And then the other question, as for the front pads they have that hold down clip that the two pins rest on, when you buy pads does it come with this? because seeing as how you would be going to a wider caliper you would need this piece to be wider as well. Anyone done this? Im open to having a piece machined as well just wondering if this is possible and has been done.
