How do you appraise the value???? (pic)
I recently restored and converted a 72t into a 911 RS replica preped for the track.

Very nice.
Our local PCA region does an appraisal event every year. Yours should be able to set you up with a detailed valuation you can use for insurance, etc. |
If you want an honest value, you need to look no further then the closing price for the car that you saw on E-Bay. If by chance it doesn't sell because of a reserve, then you know that the value is less then the listed reserve.
Just the cold economic facts. You might want to get multiple data points though to reduce the influence of the pre-holiday distraction of potential buyers. |
I think I like this one better than the silver RSR. More proper track goodies. Value is tought to judge. I'd guess somewhere around $20K plus or minus depending on how hot to trot the buyer is. You could never build one for that of course, but...

On the other hand there is Just a couple more data points from which you can draw your own conclusions. BTW - I agree that your's is a very nice looking car in that paint scheme. Personally I like it! |
Are you looking for a valuation for insurance, or are you planning on selling it?
Track/DE insurance policies will let you set your own value. Because it's a track car, it's need-to-sell-this-month price would be considerably less than its when-I-find-the-right-buyer price. The market for a tracked-prep car is small. But if it's built to a particular class, you'll find a smart buyer eventually who knows that he can get your car for less than it cost you to build it. Beautiful car, by the way. I don't see what it has in common with the $110,000-invested fish-story '74 in the ebay link. |
