twin plug splitter
Anyone ever make their own twin plug splitter for use with a 964 distributor on a motronic car?? Can it be that hard?

Anyone??

C'mon Jeff, pony up the dough like the rest of us.:)
Ralph P.S. - PM me what you found out with the P's & C's. |
Fair enough.

Nah, save your money for other stuff :)
I owned one of the splitters from Andial. Pretty simple. All they did was use two ignitors just like the factory did on the 964. I can't see why you couldn't just by the twin coil and ignitor setup from a 964 car and use the single trigger wire from the 3.2 DME just like the factory did with the 964. Would save quite a bit of cash. Just wire it like this http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1103735457.jpg The dashed wire is the shielded signal coming from the DME Todd |
Thanks Todd.

Well notice I said "I can't see why", obviously Chris saw why :)
Heck I'm just a biochemist. I still think you could make a better mousetrap for less money with the 964 setup if you have some electronics skills Todd |
Hmmm, good thread Chris, I had not found that one. This is getting interesting.
