Show your metallic silvery gray cars

It might be interesting to explore the boundaries between silver and gray in the metallic color scheme.....

Post a pic and give the name of the color and - if you know it - the code.

Not a very popular color but I like it!

This was the code indicated in the front trunk:
550 9 7
Linen Grey Metallic
Leinen Metallic
W5

Here are a couple of pics of an 911 in anthracite that I found a while back on mobile.de. Looks cool.

This one came from the factory as zinc metallic but a PO changed it by a shade in a re-paint, color unknown.

I think the proper name for the silver metallic is code S7 ( aka "936")...

A body man told me this was the newer silver but did not say which code, sorry. I'm certain he did not mean Polar Silver. I need to go by again and see if they can tell which code.

Well Jerry, let's not start slinging possible obscenities... but Metallic Silver ( as a "name" coupled to a "number") has been used from the late 70's through at least the middle- 80's as code 936....as indeed my stickers say on my car.... as well as the factory work shop manuals....

Not aguing that there may still be a 980..maybe it has a different name or Porsche simply changed the number in the later 80's.

Pewter metallic clearcoat, paint code 956.

Does anyone have a picture of Seal Gray used on the newer 996's? That is one my favorite silver/grays.
