Need a couple of favors....

I need a picture of the rear engine brace running from mount to mount so as to verify the bend in mine on the passenger side is factory and not collision inflicted and I also need the measurement center to center on the top of the front struts so I can get everything ready for the new fender.....
TIA.
Sam.

Sam,

The engine cross brace should be straight....

Strut top measurements may be different between different cars if the length of the threaded portion is longer or shorter...

"The engine cross brace should be straight...."

Funny you should say that, of all the pictures I've looked at the earlier ones appear straight and the later ones seem to have an offset on the passenger side... I'm going up to Protosport today so hopefully they'll have a late model Carerra lying around that I can compare notes on.....
thanks,
Sam.

I have a spare one in my garage. I just went and looked at it. It is straight.

Many times the mount gets bent from removing one of the bolts. If it's rusted and really tight, a breaker bar and a lot of force will bend it while removing the bolt. I know this from experience, doh!
Mine got twisted a little bit, I straightened it out and tapped the hole to clean the threads, now all is fine.

Even the later ones are straight.
