Upholstery shops have been dying interiors for years. You can get some good materials off the Internet (check the archives here for some sources like leatherique, or something like that). But first, I would check out the local interior shop. They might have some tan dye on hand and could give you a good job for not too much, since the seats are already out of the car. Take them another piece of your interior if you are looking for a match.
You know, one man's ceiling is another man's floor, but when he said, "It looks as though they have had seat covers on them all their lives," I wouldn't expect them to be faded. But, in the end, you should come out alright on the dye. It works good if done right. |

They look like pretty nice seats if for 125 a piece if they are really leather - faded or not. Dye them and they will last a long time (again with proper care...

Wow! They were advertised as mint LEATHER seats, but you got FADED VINYL seats instead?!?
That's pretty bad. As others have asked, though, did you ask for your money back? |

At least according to the thread, he wasn't sure if they were leather or vinyl- then assumed they were vinyl. The fade part is unfortunate, and they are not completely as represented- but I don't think he was trying to pass these off as leather.
$250 for 2 seats including shipping, so net about $100/seat. Still not a bad deal. Hope things work out Gary |

Here is the thread. Have you spoken with the seller about the problem before posting?

Not to smack you up... But you've made your point. Take some action.
Most likely this guy bought these seats as they are shown, in the car and described them based on tears/cracks etc. The color probably didn't enter his mind. They are tan... Yes, definately faded, but tan none the less. Frankly, the cost of shipping justifies keeping them and selling them on ebay. Did Porsche even do vinyl seats in this series? I thought not???
