fuel inlet foam gasket
This pic shows the foam gasket around the fuel inlet pipe on my '73.5. It is rigid and looks hard to replace. But maybe the rigidity is just from age.
Does anybody know if this part is flexible foam when new? And how hard it is to replace? I don't want to tear the whole car apart. Thx! ![]()

Took mine out recently, and it was still fairly flexible. When new, it is a circular piece of foam, which is seemingly installed before the fuel pipe is inserted - I guess you can simply cut through the new one, and install it with the fuel pipe in place - shouldn't be difficult at all!
